1892 Colonel Upham Winter Cottage

Union Army Colonel John Jaques Upham of Wisconsin, built this Victorian beauty in 1892. Despite its location in the oldest part of St. Augustine, it is not a Spanish Colonial-era house. It belongs to the city’s late-19th-century Flagler era, when affluent Northerners built elaborate winter residences near Henry Flagler’s Hotel Ponce de Leon.
